Welcome to the official web page of the Salisbury University Student Research Conference.  This year Salisbury University continues its tradition of supporting student research and education by showcasing the innovative research of top undergraduate and graduate students from across the university.
The conference will be held on April 24th, from 12:30-7:30 p.m. in Henson Hall and the Wicomico Room in the Guerreri Center.  We encourage multidisciplinary sessions as well as those comprised of students in the same major, but in different classes, and will limit the number of "panel" sessions that include students from a single class.  An exciting aspect of the conference this year will be our Poster Session and Art Exhibit. We will include art pieces among our posters along with live music. This is also when we will be giving out the annual Faculty Mentor Award.

The links provided on this page contain information about the conference, submission process, and the status of proposals.  In addition, further information can be found on the  "Frequently Asked Questions" fact sheet for students and fact sheet faculty.  The deadline for submission is Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 12:00 am (midnight).  Students should note that they are limited to
making one presentation at the conference.  Students may partake in joint projects but may only present at one of these sessions.

Students should also note that they cannot choose their presentation time, and should be prepared to make their presentations between any of the assigned session hours (see below).

Conference Schedule:

12:30 – 1:15 Welcome - front of Henson Hall (refreshments served)
1:30 – 2:45 Session 1 - Henson Hall Classrooms
3:00 – 4:15 Session 2 - Henson Hall Classrooms
4:30 – 5:45 Session 3 - Henson Hall Classrooms
6:00 – 7:30 Poster Session and
Art Exhibit with Buffet Dinner- Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri Center (All welcome - no charge)

The best of our students' work will be presented in a variety of formats, including: oral presentations (i.e. paper presentations, panel discussions, dramatic presentations) poster presentations, visual and performing arts presentations, and roundtable discussions.  Given these exciting and interdisciplinary events, we hope the campus faculty, students, and surrounding community will fully support the conference by encouraging both undergraduate and graduate students to submit projects or simply attend.
